Dominic Casey — a former private investigator who worked on Casey’s defense team — dropped bombshell after bombshell about who really killed two-year-old Caylee Anthony and what Casey’s relationship was like with her defense attorney, Jose Baez.
He also claimed he walked in on Casey performing sexual favors in exchange for legal fees.
Dominic worked as a private investigator on Casey’s trial from July to December 2008 and recalled a time that he arrived at Jose’s law office unexpectedly. He said he “witnessed a naked Casey” as she ran out of Jose’s private office.
“That night I told her that she cannot allow him to continue engaging in this behavior. Casey told me she had to do what Jose said because she had no money for her defense,” read an anecdote from Dominic’s court documents.
Jose vehemently denied the claims.
Shorlty after the court documents were revealed, the lawyer released a statement about his alleged affair with Casey.
“I unequivocally and categorically deny exchanging sex for my legal services with Ms. Anthony,” he said in a statement to People. “I further unequivocally and categorically deny having any sexual relationship with Ms. Anthony whatsoever.”
Dominic claimed Casey’s lawyer admitted that she killed her daughter.
In unsealed court documents from Casey’s bankruptcy case, Dominic said he was hired just days after Casey was arrested in July 2008 – 31 days after Caylee went missing, according to Fox News.
“[Jose] had told me that Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere and, he needed all the help he could get to find the body before anyone else did,” Dominic claimed.
Deposition documents released during Casey Anthony's bankruptcy case reveal shocking details about Caylee Anthony's murder case and her relationship with her lead defense attorney Jose Baez.
During the deposition of private investigator Dominic Casey -- who was hired to work with Casey Anthony's defense team about two weeks after her arrest -- he made a number of claims including, "[On] Saturday, July 26, 2008, [attorney Jose] Baez had told me that Casey had murdered Caylee and dumped the body somewhere and, he needed all the help he could get to find the body before anyone else did," one affidavit reads.
Some other claims included that Anthony signed over to Baez all of her and Caylee's intellectual property rights so that he could hawk whatever photos, videos, and other items she gave him, and that a money launderer for Mexican drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman put up hundreds of thousands of dollars for Anthony's defense.
He even says after Baez canceled a scheduled network TV appearance he overheard Baez say to Anthony, "You now owe me 3 [sexual acts]."
About two weeks later, Casey said the misconduct between Anthony and Baez had escalated and he "once again" saw Anthony running naked from Baez's private office. When Casey said he told her she needed to stop, she said, "she had to do what Jose said because she had no money for her defense."
He said he quit working for Baez a few days later.
The investigator also said Casey Anthony wanted to implicate the man who ended up discovering Caylee’s body by suggesting her attorneys say he kidnapped her.
These documents come as public record from part of Casey Anthony’s bankruptcy case.
